A Look Back At 2011

Can you believe we're heading into a new year!? Time sure does fly as you get older.
2011 was overall a wonderful year for me. It was my first whole year living in the city of my dreams, Nashville of course. I turned the ripe old age of 26. Jonny and I celebrated three years together as a married couple. I met lots of new friends and lost a dear old one. Like any year, it's had it's time for tears and it's many times for laughter.
I'm looking forward to the year ahead and the new adventures that are going to come with it. As for Q's Daydream in 2012.. I have lots of fresh and exciting projects in the works, hehe.
Okay, enough of my blabbing! Here are some of my favorite pictures and outfits from 2011!

I hope you all have a fabulous New Year! Thanks for being so wonderful. See you in 2012! xo

Stage Door, 1937

A couple of weeks ago I saw Karyn's post about the film Stage Door. It's one of those movies that I could of sworn I'd seen, but really I hadn't. I finally watched it today and I just loved it! It stars Ginger Rogers, Katharine Hepburn, Lucille Ball and more. Quite the amazing cast! The story is super sweet and totally worth a watch if you haven't seen it already. Oh, and the clothes are fabulous! So many floral dresses, sailor outfits, playsuits and awesome coats! The 1930's just might be my favorite decade for fashion.

I hope you all are having a nice holiday! Mine has been great. I can't wait to show you some of the pretty things I got for Christmas! Talk to you soon! xo

Leslie Caron's Pixie

Leslie Caron's pixie has always been one of my favorites! I'm in the middle of reading her memoir and she talked a little bit about her cropped hairdo... but first some pictures!

Leslie was brought to Hollywood from France in 1950 by none other than Gene Kelly to star in An American in Paris. While getting styled for the role Leslie tried to explain to the hair stylist she wanted a short boycut, like a model she had seen on a magazine in France. The hairstylist thought Leslie was crazy and didn't do what Leslie wanted. So, Leslie went home that night and cut her hair herself! After studio people saw her hair they were outraged, haha! They actually delayed filming for three weeks to allow Leslie's hair to grow a bit. In the film Leslie's hair is styled in tight curls, which she hated! After filming Leslie kept her hair super short and straight like she wanted. So technically Leslie was the first Hollywood startlet to rock a pixie cut. Before Mia, Jean or even Audrey!
